The 2nd of 5 cocktails made for my Book of the Month: Revenge of the Sith cocktail pop-up (on May 4th naturally ;)). A riff of a lesser known classic cocktail, the Darb, this drink uses saffron-infused gin to make a colorful and refreshing drink with a gorgeous colour! Inspired by Padmé’s character in Matthew Stover’s novel “Revenge of the Sith”, this cocktail is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next dinner party!

Cocktail Bartender
Hi there! I’m Cat and I got my bartending start in Columbus, Ohio. I really love creating new drinks to match different themes, seasons, and palates. I also love traveling, and am currently working at a cozy cocktail spot in Taipei! Hopefully I can add more countries to the list in the future ;) Enjoy the drinks I’ve shared - cheers!...

View MoreFor saffron infused gin: Use 1 gram of saffron per litre of gin (I like to use Beefeater or Citadelle). Sous-vide at 60 degrees Celsius for 2 hours, cool in ice bath, and strain. This gin makes delightful martinis and gin sodas as well! Combine all ingredients in shaker tin. Shake and strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with a dehydrated lemon. May the force be with you ;)
Editor's Note
Saffron-infused gin meets apricot brandy in this refined riff on the classic Darb. A bright, floral sour that balances stone fruit sweetness with a dry, herbal finish.
