My first (and only) black tie event was in 2015. It was the charity event prior to the Detroit Auto Show, and I was super excited. I was working at Nordstrom Rack at the time and was spending every break I had trying on dresses until I finally settled on one that had pockets…because pockets! The evening was amazing! It was my first time at Cobo (now Huntington Place), and I marveled at how gigantic the space was. So many beautiful people and beautiful cars. I felt like an out of place princess. ...
