By day, I work as a Transition Specialist, which means I work with young adults with disabilties 18-21 in age in helping them and their families with all things transition. I also work with teachers, support staff, and others in helping our young adults reach and meet their goals. It's a fun and rewarding job - but sometimes it's nice to just come home and shake up a yummy cocktail. I did bartend in college, and more recently, I bartend at a local event venue occasionally. ...

Shake with ice. Strain into a stemmed glass over a brandied cherry. Float 1 oz hibiscus-infused mezcal on top. Infused mezcal: infused 2 oz mezcal with 1 T dry hibiscus tea for about 5 minutes. Strain.
Editor's Note
Smoky mezcal meets spicy ginger in this bold, high-proof sour. A hibiscus-infused float adds a floral, tannic finish that lingers on the palate.
