Twelve Miles Out

Hello friends! Tonight, I have a classic Prohibition-era cocktail that was named for international waters; specifically, the distance from shore one would need to be for dry laws not to apply, or twelve miles out. This drink is equal parts rum, Swedish Punsch, and apple brandy, and is wonderfully sweet and well-balanced. I would make this again, and I wouldn't hesitate to order it at the bar if I ever saw it on a menu! Cheers!

Editor's Note
A potent Prohibition-era classic. The Swedish Punsch and apple brandy create a rich, spice-forward profile that demands slow sipping.
