Uigeadail (pronounced ‚ÄòOog-a-dal‚Äô) is Gaelic for ‚Äúa dark mysterious place.‚Äù  Named after the distillery‚Äôs water source this whisky is a marriage of sweetness spice and deep smokiness. The peat-laden waters of Loch Uigeadail provide the smoky tones in this whisky while maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks imparts rich warm flavours ‚Äì perfect for a dramatic stormy night.  But the true secret behind Ardbeg Uigeadail's success? A unique vatting method that marries the deep smoky notes from ex-bourbon American oak with the luscious raisin-like character of ex-sherry Oloroso casks.  Non chill-filtered.

Bottled from incredibly rare casks filled during some of the Distillery‚Äôs darkest days this is the oldest whisky to join our core range.  This supreme expression proves unequivocally that age cannot tame Ardbeg‚Äôs smoky power. But it can yield some of the most complex and majestic flavours ever to burst forth from Ardbeg Distillery. Alter the flavour of the ultimate smoky malt?  Have we lost our heads? Yes. We have. Removing the cask heads and scoring them deeply to expose more wood during our intense ‚Äúhigh mocha‚Äù toasting process we‚Äôve turned Ardbeg upside down and inside out‚Ä¶Tempering briny overtones ramping up hidden chocolaty sweetness and magnifying sensations of mocha. The result? A multidimensional dram that morphs between four elements ‚Äì SWEET SMOKY HERBAL AND SPICY ‚Äì all seamlessly merging in a mesmerising taste experience. As enigmas wrapped up in conundrums go this takes Ardbeg to a whole new level. Non chill filtered at 48.2%.  Earthy dusty and slightly biscuity on the nose this is a most curious Ardbeg almost from an alternative universe. The sooty/tarry notes are clear but restrained and are balanced out by some silky vanilla. Water opens up a myriad of herbal and floral notes- smoked etiver root aniseed fennel chrysanthemum and jasmine to name but a few.  The mouthfeel is peppery and warming and precedes an explosion of fiery spicy flavours ‚Äì chili ‚Äì flavoured chocolate bitter sweet mocha briar wood birch tar ground black pepper and smoked artichokes.  The sooty/tarry notes build up to a crescendo of rich smoky flavours with an incredible lingering aftertaste of charcoal bitter almonds and molasses.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay where only the bravest souls dare to venture. Swirling aromas and torrents of deep peaty peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram. Like the whirlpool itself Corryvreckan is not for the faint-hearted! Awarded The World‚Äôs Best Single Malt in 2010 by the World Whiskies Awards.  Non-chill filtered.

Something weird has been going down at the Distillery. The legendary purifier on the still ‚Äì responsible for Ardbeg‚Äôs exalted balance ‚Äì is nowhere to be seen. And this whisky ‚Äì Ardbeg Heavy Vapours ‚Äì is the consequence. The familiar harmony between peat and floral fruitiness has been disrupted. What have risen are the untamed darker flavours and notes gathering and filling the senses. It is an ominous dram of dramatic aromatic pungency. Heavy Vapours will rise. Non chill filtered at 46%.
