I wanted to make a riff on the Corpse Reviver #2. Infusing the gin with lavender adds a great floral note and replacing the orange liqueur with apricot plays well with the apricot notes in the modern Lillet Blanc recipe.

To make this drink, you’ll have to start by infusing your gin. Add a couple sprigs of lavender to some gin, cover and leave to infuse at least a couple hours, up to 24 hours, then strain. To build the cocktail, start by adding a couple drops of absinthe to a coupe glass and swirl it around to coat. If the absinthe pools at the bottom of the glass you’ve added too much so just pour out any excess. Chill the coupe. Add the infused gin, apricot liqueur, Lillet and lemon juice to a shaker with ice ...
Editor's Note
Lavender-infused gin meets apricot liqueur in this floral, stone-fruit-forward riff on the classic Corpse Reviver #2. A delicate absinthe rinse provides the necessary backbone.
