Up here in Sweden we drink a lot of mulled wine (glühwein) during Christmas time and each year new flavours pop up. This year my partner found a recipe on a new product the producer refers to as apple glühwein or spiced ice cider, called Ember Ice Cider. It’s an apple ice wine with apple and bergamot tones which has a freshness not really found in glühwein since those are wine based. Editor's Note
Ice cider replaces sweet vermouth, adding orchard-fruit acidity and bergamot aromatics to the classic Negroni template. A crisp, winter-ready riff on a bitter staple.

This sounds like a wonderful, seasonal twist on a classic! The addition of ice cider to balance the bitterness of the Campari is a brilliant idea. Do you have a favorite brand of ice cider you recommend for this, or any specific apple varieties that work best?
