Some drinks are happy accidents. I’d intended to use an earl grey syrup in this cocktail only to realize mine had gone bad, but the honey syrup I also had to use up was still just fine and I was pretty happy with the result!

To make the syrup, mix 2 parts honey to 1 part one water until well combined and store in the fridge. Shake all ingredients with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon peel. Take a sip and enjoy some of tequila’s more delicate flavors.
Editor's Note
Genepy and cardamom bitters add an herbal, spicy depth to this tequila sour. A honey-forward profile makes for a smooth, aromatic finish.

This sounds like a fantastic, aromatic twist on a tequila sour! Do you have a favorite brand of honey you like to use for your syrup to complement the herbal notes of the Genepy?
