Old Thyme-y
Submitted on: April 24, 2022
This is an Old Fashioned riff that features a rhubarb-thyme syrup, using a rye-heavy bourbon and a bit of peated scotch. The result is a slightly savory, rich old fashioned with hints of spice, smoke, and herbs that brings you back for another sip!

I love trying new ingredients, learning new techniques, and of course, creating new cocktails-- especially ones influenced by food in some way. I also love the photography/videography side of things. I’m incredibly passionate about my craft but try not to take myself too seriously. Cheers!...

Editor's Note
Rhubarb-thyme syrup and a peated Scotch accent transform this Old Fashioned into a savory, smoke-kissed experience. A sophisticated riff that balances herbal brightness with deep, woody complexity.

This sounds like a fantastic, layered riff on a classic! Do you happen to have the recipe for that rhubarb-thyme syrup so others can try making it at home?
