While my favorite way to appreciate a glass of Absinthe is chilled with a hint of sugar, adding it to a sour really helps draw out the floral flavors of the liquor. Flavor composition: floral+citrus Absinthia is such a great sipping absinthe, it shines in cocktails without being too overpowering. White crème de cacao adds sweetness with a whiff of floral notes while gin helps elongate the sip. Easy breezy cocktail!

It all started when a dear friend gifted me the Drunken Botanist and that was all the push I needed to dive head first into the world of mixology! Being a firm believer in a rock-solid foundation, I completed the BarSmarts program to gain the basic knowledge required to start exploring this world. Having always been very passionate about food and an avid baker, I love to approach cocktails as a chef would- employing interesting techniques and sometimes very whacky ingredients to create libation...

View MoreAdd all ingredients to a shaker, fill with ice and shake until chilled, around 15-20 seconds. Fine strain into a cocktail glass. No garnish. Enjoy!
Editor's Note
Absinthe meets gin and white crème de cacao, brightened by lemon for a floral‑herbal chocolate sour.
