Back Room Martini

Submitted on: September 19, 2023
I’m not normally a martini girl. However, when I tried a bottle of Old Harbor San Miguel Southwestern Gin I knew it would be fantastic in an ice cold martini. And after a stressful work day it felt like the perfect time to try one out. I imagined this drink as what a non-whiskey drinker would sip in a dark, smoky back room aside a cigar. The smoke of the bitters, the unique botanicals of this gin and the very dry vermouth hit all the right notes.

Stir all ingredients well with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with 3 Spanish olives. Cheers to being off the clock!
Editor's Note
Southwestern gin meets barrel-aged bitters in this dry, sophisticated riff. A smoky, savory take on the classic Martini.

Oh yes, this gin makes such a unique martini. And those bitters sound perfect.
