My mom wasn’t the best cook but she could bake up a storm. While her double chocolate brownies were her signature baked goods, I preferred her lemon blueberry muffins. Tart and sweet pastries just bursting with fresh blueberries, lemon zest, and topped with crystalized lemon sugar. The smell of those muffins baking would make my mouth water.
