Aperitif

I love a good Ramos Gin Fizz. I've made lots of variations in the past, and I still turn to the classic when the mood strikes. This grapefruit and lavender vodka from Chakra Vodkas made a really nice substitute for the typical gin. Changing the orange blossom water to lavender bitters and the citrus to grapefruit just made sense! This is definitely going to be a reoccurring drink.

Chakra Vodka Grapefruit & Lavender

2.0 oz
Cream

2.0 oz
Grapefruit Juice

1 ea
Egg White

2 dash(es)
Lavender Bitters

2 0z
Club Soda, To Top

Add all ingredients including the egg white to a shaker. Perform a dry shake without ice, then add ice and shake vigorously to emulsify. Dump into a Collins glass with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a grapefruit twist and another dash of bitters.

Editor's Note

Grapefruit and lavender-infused vodka bring a floral brightness to this creamy, high-volume fizz. A touch of sugar would further harmonize the tart citrus and rich dairy.
