El Duende
Submitted on: September 13, 2022
This cocktail is named after a Latin American legend that originated in the Iberian Peninsula. The Duende, often picturised as gnome-like, was seen as both good and evil. Hiding in the walls of houses he would come out to clip the toenails of little children, often cutting off the whole toe. He was also said to inhabit the forests, leading lost children back to safety

A home enthusiast with a passion for all things tiki! Rum is my favourite poison, but I also love Whiskey, Brandy and just about every other spirit. I'm fairly new to cocktail making but I quickly fell in love with it and enjoy the pursuit of finding my new favourite libation. Cheers! ...

Editor's Note
A deeply complex agave sour that balances smoky mezcal and spicy tequila against the unique, tart funk of tropical lulo pulp. Mole bitters add a rich, savory finish that ties the whole experience together.

This sounds like a fascinating and complex drink! The use of lulo is such a great touch. Do you have a preferred source for the lulo pulp, or do you prepare it fresh?
