Lost Pineapple Paper Plane

Submitted on: August 30, 2024
Here is a Paper Plane with a tropical twist! I’ve never made one before and since I’m not much of a bourbon fan I wanted to try the rum version. It’s delicious! I used El Dorado 15-year Demerara rum. I also swapped out the Amaro Nonino for this delicious pineapple amaro. I definitely prefer the rum version although I do like the original. Cheers y’all!!

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

Editor's Note
A tropical riff on the Paper Plane, swapping bourbon for aged Demerara rum and amaro for pineapple. The result is a bright, rum-forward sour with a distinct island character.
