National Margarita Day is this Thursday, y’all!! So, I made a cocktail with a new to me spirit, Bacanora. Made from two specific agave types, it’s only made in the Mexican state of Sonora. It’s similar to mezcal in its taste; it's a bit smoky. If you like agave-based spirits, you’ll probably like this. I made a spicy-sweet margarita with passion fruit and a spicy green chile liqueur. Cheers y’all!!

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

Editor's Note
Bacanora brings a distinct, smoky terroir to this tropical riff. Ancho Reyes Verde adds a vegetal heat that cuts through the passion fruit sweetness.
