Mulled Cranberry Sour
Submitted on: November 29, 2022
A simple gin sour jazzed up with my mulled cranberry syrup. Typically a summer drink, the addition of the mulled syrup takes this firmly into sweater weather. It’s light enough to not compete with a holiday meal but it’s complex enough to stand on its own. The mulled cranberry syrup contains cinnamon, allspice, cloves, star anise, dried lemon and orange, crystallized ginger and nutmeg simmered with fresh cranberries and sweetened with @zulkasugar. Great with gin, I want to try it with rum next...

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

Editor's Note
Mulled cranberry syrup transforms a standard gin sour into a holiday-ready sipper. Baking spices and dried citrus add depth, while the egg white provides a silky, luxurious finish.
