So I had an idea for a cocktail that involved a lot of cinnamon. When I went to my bar, I couldn't find any of my cinnamon ingredients, so I had to pivot to the next most obvious flavor: anise! The Golden Falernum from The Bitter Truth Company works really well in this drink and provides a fun spicy juxtaposition to the refreshing anise.

I have a PhD in chemistry, which is basically just mixology you're not supposed to drink, so the shift from lab to bar was pretty obvious.

Editor's Note
Golden Falernum swaps in for cinnamon, lending ginger‑clove spice that meets the anise liqueur for a bold, herbaceous digestif.

This sounds like an intense, complex, and tasty treat. Love the use of tequila with the golden falernum. If I don't have annisette would Perbnod work?
