I'm just a guy who, like most people two years go, found himself with a lot free time and a bar full of odds and ends and figured out he liked making cocktails while in quarantine! I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen, this seemed like the next great frontier to scratch that creative itch!...

View MoreAdd the jalapeño coins to a tin with the orange juice. Crush but don’t pulverize. Add your remaining ingredients, except the Irish whiskey. Fill the tin with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds to chill and dilute. Next add a large block of ice to a rocks glass. Double strain your cocktail over the ice. Then pour the Irish Whiskey over a bar spoon to float on top. Express an orange peel over the top and use to garnish. Cheers!
Editor's Note
Aged rum meets coffee and chocolate in this bold, dessert-forward riff. A jalapeño-muddled base and an Irish whiskey float add unexpected heat and aromatic depth.

This is such a creative and bold flavor combination! The idea of a chocolate-covered orange profile with a hint of spice sounds like a fantastic way to enjoy an aged rum.
