This is one of those drinks I make from time to time that is inspired exclusively by a song, or in this case a lyric, maybe even half a lyric depending on what constitutes a lyric. Either way, “Chartreuse and menthols” from Conor Oberst’s “Napalm.” That’s the line. That’s the inspo. Chartreuse + mint + tobacco bitters is the result. View MoreAdd mint leaves and lime juice to a tall glass and muddle gently. Add remaining ingredients and fill 3/4 of the way with crushed ice. Swizzle with a barspoon or bois lélé until glass is frosty. Add ice to fill and swizzle further. Top with more ice, and grate fresh nutmeg on top. Garnish with mint sprig and swizzle stick. Serve with a napkin wrapped around the glass.
Editor's Note
Yellow Chartreuse and tobacco bitters anchor this rum-forward swizzle. A complex, herbal riff on the Tiki template that demands a slow, frosty sip.

This sounds delightful. I definetely need to try this as soon as I get my hands on a bottle of yellow Chartreuse.
