Pisco Sour

Submitted on: May 28, 2022
Pisco is one of those spirits I have had a hard time finding both interesting recipes and most definitely not put enough time and effort into coming up with any recipes of my own. The other week I was playing around with a few new recipes and just felt like going with a classic since I haven’t gotten around to make this one at all! Take a look at the Don Alfredo recipe previously posted for another refreshing use of Pisco.

I really enjoy making cocktails! Finding great flavour combinations and eye-pleasing drinks is truly satisfying.

View MoreAdd the Pisco, lemon juice, simple syrup, and the egg white to a shaker and shake hard to emulsify. Add ice and shake again to chill. Strain and pour into glass then add some bitters on top of the foam and do some fancy art with a toothpick or a cocktail skewer. For the simple syrup you add equal parts sugar and water in a pot and heat up so the sugar dissolves then let it cool down before using it.
Editor's Note
A classic Pisco Sour relies on the dry shake to build a dense, velvety foam. The aromatic bitters on top provide the necessary olfactory contrast to the bright, citrus-forward body.
