As the origin story goes, this easy-to-make cocktail was commonly enjoyed on West Texas ranches after work had been done in the blazing sun all day. The late Kevin Williamson, who founded downtown Austin's Ranch 616 in 1999, is often credited with naming the cocktail and helping popularize it.
