Pour whiskey and simple syrup into a mixing glass. Add 2 dashes each of Angostura and orange bitters. Add ice and stir 30 seconds until glass frosts. Strain into rocks glass. Add two perfect cubes of ice, and express both peels of orange and lemon over glass, rub on rim, and garnish in drink on cubes.

A sweeter, more approachable Old Fashioned build. The split base of Angostura and orange bitters, plus a dual lemon-orange peel garnish, adds aromatic complexity to the classic whiskey-sugar-bitters format.
