I picked up a few new to me items at my local liquor store and I decided to play around with them. The gin has a nice, faintly fruity flavor and the Boomsma is very herbal. It’s vaguely reminiscent of green Chartreuse or absinthe. If you like herbal-forward cocktails, then I think you’ll enjoy this one! Cheers y’all!!

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

Editor's Note
Pineapple-infused gin meets Dutch herbal bitters in this aromatic, spice-forward sour. The star anise infusion adds a distinct, savory depth to the tropical base.

This sounds like a fascinating combination of flavors! The use of the star anise infusion is a great touch—how did you decide on that specific pairing for the pineapple gin?
