Made in honor of San Diego’s most famous musician Tom Waits. This is a take on the classic, Carajillo. We used our cold brew coffee Liqueur in place of the espresso and added a bit of smoke from the Mezcal.

Founder of Old Harbor
Got my start in the craft beer industry by helping set-up Mike Hess Brewing Co. After a few years decided that whiskey, rum and gin were more my speed, so I started Old Harbor Distilling Co. We have been operating since September 28, 2014 on our still, 'The Belafonte'. I also bartend at our speakeasy, The Prop Shop, which is a member's only location hidden in our East Village Warehouse next to Petco Park....

Add all ingredients to shaker. Shake and strain over large rock.
Editor's Note
Mezcal adds a smoky, earthy edge to this coffee-forward Carajillo riff. A cinnamon stick garnish ties the vanilla and roasted notes together.

Sounds super tasty. Love the coffee with the smokey and vanilla notes.

This sounds like a fantastic homage to Tom Waits! The addition of mezcal to a Carajillo riff is such a clever touch.
