If you’ve ever made your own pickle relish, there is a lot of cucumber juice left over after salting and draining them. I didn’t want to waste it, but I had no clue what to do with it. Lightbulb moment, make a syrup with it, and add it to a cocktail!! Might sound strange but it adds a lovely cucumber flavor. Waste not! Cheers y’all!!

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

Editor's Note
Leftover cucumber juice from pickling finds new life in this bright, savory sour. The sparkling wine float adds a crisp finish to the botanical gin base.
