Liqueur
Created in 1840 by the Carthusian monks at the Grande Chartreuse monastery, Yellow Chartreuse is a 43% ABV French herbal liqueur crafted from a maceration and distillation of 130 plants, flowers, barks, roots, and spices. Softer and sweeter than its Green counterpart, it offers a fresh, spicy nose with notes of turmeric, citrus, anise, and honeyed florals. Its natural golden-yellow color comes entirely from its botanicals and is developed through extended aging in large oak casks.

This stuff is so flavorful and adds complexity to every drink I’ve had it in. it is harder to find these days, so especially worth grabbing up a bottle when you do!
