This cocktail was invented in the 1860s at the Waldorf-Astoria in honor of Adonis, a popular Broadway musical at the time. I first saw this being made by Kapri Robinson,@kapri.possible, on the Netflix series Drinkmasters. It is a great low-ABV drink.
