Having Negroni as one of my go to cocktails it’s more or less inevitable not to expand my palate with a Boulevardier. Last night was my first time trying this. Having substituted the gin for bourbon, why not substitute the orange peel for a cherry as well? Let’s. The bitterness was surprisingly held back here. I went with a Woodford Reserve and was not expecting the bitterness to be dampened this much.

I really enjoy making cocktails! Finding great flavour combinations and eye-pleasing drinks is truly satisfying.

Editor's Note
Bourbon replaces gin in this classic riff, adding oaky depth to the bitter-sweet interplay of Campari and vermouth. A cherry garnish provides a subtle, dark fruit finish.
