Poitin and Genever don't get used very often in my bar but they work perfectly as the spicy, bready base for this gingerbread inspired cocktail. Add some ginger, baking spices and a fresh grating of nutmeg and you're as close as you can get to liquid gingerbread cookies!

Editor's Note
Poitin and Genever anchor this gingerbread-inspired flip, trading standard base spirits for malty, high-proof complexity. Fresh nutmeg provides the essential aromatic finish.
