Chai Boulevard
Submitted on: October 12, 2022
The boulevardier is a cousin of the negroni, but swaps the gin for whisky. Adding chai spices to the boulevardier makes a nice sipping drink that is perfect for fall. The chai flavour can be added by steeping two chai tea in the whisky overnight, but I prefer using chai bitters. Freezing a couple of star anise into the ice cubes makes a nice garnish, and I love the way they caught the light in this golden hour photo.

Editor's Note
Chai bitters infuse the classic Boulevardier with warming spice notes. A star anise-studded ice cube adds a visual flourish to this seasonal sipper.
