I've been watching a lot of the Vikings series lately. One of my favourite parts is when Ragnar finally catches Jarl Borg after he had tried to kill him and his family, and then draws Blood Eagle upon him. There's never actually been a recorded instance in history of a Blood Eagle being performed on anyone but it certainly makes for great theatrics!
