Every Tiki Tuesday in May, I’ll be sharing an original recipe with one of the delicious syrups that BG Reynolds sent me as the star. First up: Lush Grenadine! Combine all ingredients in a drink mixer tin. Blend for 5 seconds. Open pour into a double old-fashioned glass or whatever vaguely grenade-like glass you have available. Garnish with a layer of pomegranate arils* and a smoking cinnamon stick. *other shrapnel-esque garnish is also acceptable

High-proof Demerara rum meets smoky mezcal in this aggressive, tiki-inspired grog. Hibiscus-forward grenadine and hot honey provide a complex, layered sweetness.
