Stone Fruit Mai Tai

Here’s a tasty riff on Trader Vic’s legendary classic. I knew that apricot brandy would go well in a Mai Tai in place of the cognac-based curaçao, so once I had a batch of plum syrup I decided to put it together. View MoreCombine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add plenty of crushed ice and shake well. Open pour into a double Old Fashioned glass or small snifter. Top with more ice if necessary. Garnish with a wedge of apricot, peach or plum, lime wheel and mint sprig.
Editor's Note
A clever Mai Tai riff swapping orgeat and curaçao for plum syrup and apricot brandy. The result is a stone fruit-forward Tiki classic, grounded by a funky pot still rum backbone.
