Hula Skirt

Submitted on: February 6, 2023
What better way to finish exploring new drinks, than to try and teach yourself a new garnish. As the name of this cocktail implies, we garnish it with a hula skirt. It sounded so cute! Apparently, in order to do this you need to remove the pulp from one half of a lime, and I don't think that I was properly prepared with the correct tools in order to do that. With a little bit of effort and a generous pair of scissors, this cocktail came to be!

Also cut off a bit of the nippy end of the lime so that there is an opening on both sides of the half. I found that removing the pulp was a little difficult, but if you can invert the lime half, it becomes a lot easier!
Editor's Note
A Tiki-adjacent sipper where Campari's bitter edge meets the warm spice of Falernum. The aged rum base is pronounced, with just a whisper of lime for brightness.
