Submitted on: April 6, 2023
This cocktail was created to celebrate a gift of antique champagne coupes. Due to the thoughtfulness of the gift, it was apparent that a single red rose was appropriate to return the thanks.

View MoreAdd gin, St. Germain, lime juice, rose water, and simple syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until very cold. Double strain into a chilled coupe. Using a bar spoon, add the grenadine slowly to allow it to settle to the bottom of the coupe. Garnish with a single rose petal. Spritz rose water over the top of the coupe, if more floral notes are required.
Editor's Note
Old Tom gin provides a malty foundation for this floral-forward sour. Rose water and elderflower create a fragrant, aromatic profile finished with a striking grenadine sink.
