My boss was asking me to make something good with Suze because she likes it, and I’ve been playing around with it. It’s a good replacement for yellow chartreuse, and it’s usually used in gin-based cocktails, but I once had a cocktail made with scotch and yellow chartreuse before, and I kind of liked it, so I decided to use bourbon as a base and used smoked black cherry @mixicles to add a slightly smoky but sweet flavor to it. Our bar will also be offering high tea, and we have a great selection ...

Shake all ingredients with ice. Double strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Double strain into a rocks glass. Add ice. Garnish with an orange peel, maraschino cherry, and mint. Enjoy!
Editor's Note
Suze's gentian bitterness meets the caramel depth of Hirsch bourbon. Rooibos tea adds a tannic, herbal backbone that anchors the smoky cherry finish.
