The Accidental Club
Submitted on: January 24, 2023
A lesson in the importance of labeling things. What I thought was a jar of dried rose hips was actually dehydrated cranberries. I wanted to do a version of a Clover Club, with a rose hip and raspberry syrup. Well too late I realized my rose hips were cranberries 😂. So I switched gears and made a cranberry forward syrup. A happy accident, the cranberries paired well with the Irish gin. Cheers y’all!!

Hi there! I've been a bartender at the same restaurant for over 10 years. My favorite spirits to work with are rum (love a good tiki drink!), gin and amaros. I love to garden and I often use the herbs and produce I grow to make syrups and infusions. Cheers y'all! ...

Editor's Note
A happy accident of mislabeled ingredients, this riff on the Clover Club pairs Irish gin with a tart raspberry-cranberry syrup and a sparkling finish.
