In The Bartender’s Standard Manual (Powell, 1979) the Hot Toddy is listed simply as 1 ½ jiggers of “Liquor” mixed with boiling water, and a bit of sugar and lemon. I've had Ben's Hot Toddy many times, but none was more memorable when we were making them outside for this shoot with 2 feet of snow on the ground! Trust me, you have never had a better Hot Toddy!
