Butterfly Pear Margarita

Submitted on: January 24, 2022
Butterfly pea blossoms are a wonderful way to add color to a cocktail without changing the flavor too much, but that tiny bit of earthiness from a quick infusion goes well with this spiced pear Margarita. I had one of these sans purple and served long at @portaasburypark the other night and while I was taste testing Fernet cocktails for a competition with my bitter enjoying friends, I made one of these for my much less bitter enjoying boyfriend. Of course we all had a taste and it was incredible...

Editor's Note
Butterfly pea flowers lend a striking hue to this spiced pear Margarita. Dry curaçao and agave provide a sophisticated, less-syrupy backbone to the seasonal profile.
