Nothing suits better than sparkling wine when it comes to any type of celebration and the classic champagne cocktail is a fine alternative to a straight glass of sparkling wine. Even though I can enjoy a neat cognac I think the amount of cognac in a classic champagne cocktail recipe can be a bit too much in my opinion.
