This is a riff on the 1920s creation Princess Mary's Pride by the legendary Harry Craddock. The drink is amazing as is, but I don’t find myself in possession of Calvados or Dubonnet Rouge often. I wanted something that I can make more readily and, while I was at it, adjust the flavors to bring more of that bitter orange flavor with a good herbal base, without losing sweetness or brightness.

Editor's Note
An accessible riff on a Craddock classic. Applejack and Aperol stand in for Calvados and Dubonnet, creating a bright, bittersweet aperitif with a crisp apple backbone.
