Year of the Dragon

Submitted on: February 29, 2024
I have been enjoying Luiz Fernandez’s Dragon’s Breath of late; it is so balanced and tasty while being simple. I decided I wanted to do a riff on the drink using my favorite rum, Appleton Estate Signature. Here is my Year of the Dragon. Enjoy the funky, sweet quality of the rum with the herby/botanical additions, and dream of a day when Mother Nature makes up her mind and we can be outside together, sharing a drink. Editor's Note
Appleton Estate's Jamaican funk meets the floral elegance of Lillet Blanc in this spirit-forward sipper. A brief cherry wood smoke adds a final layer of depth to the finish.
