Recently, we are really digging cocktails with tea in them. We decided to prepare this one cold, but it would have worked just as well as a hot drink. Quick tip when working with tea - brew it to double strength. Otherwise, most tea flavors get lost when competing with other ingredients. Thank you to Hirsch for letting us mess around with their whiskey!

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake for at least 10 seconds. Strain into your glass of choice. This would also be good as a hot drink if you want to combine all ingredients in a small saucepan on the stove, but do not bring to a boil just heat through. Also, note that the Blueberry Lavender syrup from Goodness Sisters is not very sweet, so if making it from scratch, I would only add 1 cup of sugar to two cups of water and two cups of blueberries. Then infuse lavender blossoms aft...
Editor's Note
Earl Grey tea and blueberry-lavender syrup bring a floral, tannic complexity to this bourbon sour. A versatile sipper that transitions easily from a chilled shaker to a warm saucepan.

This sounds like a wonderful, aromatic combination! Do you have a favorite brand of Earl Grey you prefer to use for that double-strength brew?
