The Singapore Sling is a classic tiki cocktail. However, I also don't think it's very good. It also contains two ingredients that are rarely used in other cocktails, Cherry Heering and Bénédictine. So I sought out to create a riff on the Singapore Sling with ingredients that any respecting tiki bartender should have.

1.5 oz
London Dry Gin

.5 oz
Cognac

.25 oz
Allspice Dram

1 oz
BG Reynolds Lush Grenadine Cocktail Syrup

1 oz
Lemon Juice

6 drop(s)
Absinthe

Combine all ingredients, except soda water, into a shaker with cubed ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds. Pour club soda into a chilled Collins glass. Open pour the shaker into the glass. Top with more club soda, if needed. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a skewered cocktail cherry.
