I created this cocktail for a contest with Conniption gin, but any nice citrus forward or American style gin will work. The Last Word is one of my favorite cocktails, and wanted to keep it flavorful and lightly complex like it, but more refreshing and summery. To complete this task, I brought in grapefruit and lemon with the citrus gin, and it all came together nicely. I hope you enjoy.

View MoreAdd the gin, Lillet, Pamplemousse, and lemon into a bar shaker and load up with ice. Shake for 15-20 seconds or till the tin gets cold and frosty. Strain into your chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel (dehydrated or fresh) and spank a pretty mint leaf and lay it right on top of the wheel for some nice aromatics.
Editor's Note
A bright, summery riff on the Last Word. Grapefruit liqueur and Lillet Rosé replace the traditional herbal notes, creating a crisp, citrus-forward profile.
