This cocktail is named after the painting of the same name by French artist Paul Gauguin. Gauguin and his friend Laval created a series of paintings while visiting the island of Martinique in 1887. Their works can be found here https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/stories/gauguin-and-laval-in-martinique

A home enthusiast with a passion for all things tiki! Rum is my favourite poison, but I also love Whiskey, Brandy and just about every other spirit. I'm fairly new to cocktail making but I quickly fell in love with it and enjoy the pursuit of finding my new favourite libation. Cheers! ...

Editor's Note
Clément VSOP rhum provides a grassy, structured base for this tropical sour. Acid-adjusted orange juice brings a sharp, clean citrus profile that cuts through the mango and cinnamon.
