I’m sure there’s a few cocktails with this name already but the combo of Gunpowder Gin and Hibiscus made me think of the famous photograph by Bernie Boston. The Gin Old Fashioned isn’t a new concept but something about a clear spirit in this build is so interesting. Gunpowder tea and citrus meld beautifully with the deep red hue of the hibiscus agave syrup to give us a beautiful light pink hue, bolstered by the bold flavored (read: kinda gross on it’s own) and mildly grapefruity Malört.
