If you remember the candy that is this cocktail's namesake, you'll know that the beauty in the experience was a dusty sugar coating that revealed a puckeringly tart candy inside. Balancing that sweet and sour is exactly what makes the Lemon Drop such a treat. It's sweet enough to be a dessert drink, but light and citrusy enough to enjoy any time.
