If you’ve been into tiki at all, then you probably have heard of a book called Minimalist Tiki. Everyone raves about the book, except for one thing, some of the ingredients aren’t very minimalist. One such ingredient is pandan and pandan syrup. So today I am going to demystify this ingredient and show you how to make the easiest pandan syrup. Then we’re going to build the most famous cocktail that calls for it, the Pacific Theatre, by @shakerofspirits.

1 oz
Lightly Aged Rum

.5 oz
Unaged Overproof Jamaican Rum

.5 oz
Pandan Syrup

.5 oz
Passionfruit Syrup

.5 oz
Pineapple Juice

.5 oz
Lime Juice

Combine all ingredients into a shaking tin with cubed ice. Coupe shake for 12-15 seconds. Rinse chilled coupe glass with absinthe. Double strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with edible flower.
